Research summary: Guidelines for managing Spitz naevi
This month we revisit the important topic of Spitz naevi. I had reason to review the guidelines recently, because of a case I saw in my clinic. Since we don’t see these cases so often, I think it is useful to remind ourselves of the management protocol.

The below paper summarises the distinction – and overlap – between Spitz naevi and Spitz melanoma, and provides a very useful flow chart that guides us in our clinical process for managing Spitz naevi.
I have printed out the flow chart and attached it to the monitor in my clinic.
