In the video, Dr Piccolo looks at the real patient case study of a 64-year-old woman who presented to his practice with vitiligo – a skin condition she has had for over 50 years. Very recently, the areas affected by vitiligo broke out with lesions indicative of lichen planus.
The lesions appeared after the patient received her first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, then disappeared. They reappeared again within 24 hours of receiving her second dose of the vaccine, showing some correlation between the two events.
