[Online lecture] Chameleon melanomas
In this online lecture, Associate Professor Andreas Blum discusses chameleon melanomas and how to differentiate between melanoma and other skin lesions, especially when the dermatoscopic clues are very similar.
A/Prof Blum first talks about the different melanocytic and non-melanocytic lesions occurring on the skin, providing a helpful framework for diagnosing both malignant and benign tumours.
Looking at real examples, A/Prof Blum compares the dermatoscopic features of difficult-to-diagnose melanomas with other malignancies, drawing parallels between the two while also explaining how to tell them apart.
